Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?
Yes. Behold Counseling is in-network with select insurance plans. If we are in-network with your insurance, we will bill your insurance company directly and you will be responsible for your copay, coinsurance, or deductible based on your individual plan.

How do I find out what my insurance will cover?
Before your first session, we submit an insurance benefits verification to help estimate your coverage. This allows us to review your expected copay, coinsurance, and deductible based on the information provided by your insurance company.
Insurance verifications typically take 2–3 business days to complete. While we do our best to provide accurate estimates, final responsibility for understanding insurance benefits remains with the client and their insurance provider.

What if you are not in-network with my insurance plan?
If we are not in-network with your insurance, you may still be able to receive reimbursement through out-of-network benefits. Upon request, we can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company.
Do you offer a consultation before scheduling?
Yes. We offer a free consultation call to briefly discuss what brings you to therapy and help determine whether working together may be a good fit.
What happens after the consultation?
If it feels like a good fit, we will help you schedule your first appointment and provide instructions for completing your intake paperwork. If you plan to use insurance, we will begin the benefits verification process at that time.

How long are therapy sessions?
Standard therapy sessions are 50 minutes in length.

Have questions about fees or insurance?
We’re happy to help you understand your options and find the therapist who may be the best fit for your needs.
